Repression results in deportation orders for 434 expatriates

KUWAIT, September 22: A series of surprise security operations carried out across all governorates led to the arrest of 434 foreigners in a week for violating residence and labor laws.

The Home Office announced on Sunday evening that these intensified efforts were aimed at those who had failed to take advantage of the grace period provided for residence law violations, as well as those violating labor regulations. The General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations led these campaigns, detaining expatriates of various nationalities, who were then referred to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal procedures, with deportation pending.

The ministry stressed that security operations will continue across the country as part of a broader strategy to enforce the law and address all violations of residence and work regulations, ensuring that legal action is taken against all offenders.
