Canned fruit giant SPC Global in merger talks to boost profits

SPC Ardmona is in merger talks with ASX-listed The Original Juice Co. The merger is part of a broader initiative by the well-known fruit and food processor to diversify its product offering, enter new markets and strengthen its local presence.

Street Talk has learnt that the deal between OJC – which is chaired by former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett and has a market value of around $50 million – is already at an advanced stage and SPC will gain a 75 per cent stake in the combined group.
