GoPro’s new entry-level HERO camera is now available for purchase in India. Launched alongside the top-of-the-range GoPro HERO13 Black on September 4, the GoPro HERO is the company’s smallest camera with a screen. The GoPro HERO can shoot up to 4K video and 2x slow-mo video at 2.7K. It can also take 12MP photos.

GoPro HERO: Price and Availability

The new GoPro HERO camera is priced at Rs 23,990 and is available now on e-commerce platform Flipkart and select retailers including Croma and Reliance Digital.

GoPro HERO: Details

GoPro said the HERO is its smallest and lightest 4K camera yet, weighing in at 86g, 35% smaller in volume and 46% lighter than the HERO13 Black. It has a rugged design that’s built to last in all weather and environmental conditions, and is waterproof to 5 meters. The company also said the camera has an easy-to-use interface with an LCD touchscreen and single-button controls for switching between multiple camera modes.

The GoPro HERO can record Ultra HD 4K and HD 1080p video, as well as take 12MP photos. It also has a 2x Slo-Mo mode for recording slow-motion 2.7K videos at 60 frames per second (FPS).

With the Quik smartphone app, users can take 8MP photos from 4K footage and use GoPro’s HyperSmooth video stabilization, which the company says smooths out footage. GoPro also said the camera’s battery can record continuous video for more than an hour at the highest setting on a single charge.
