According to the plot description, the novel centers on Margo Millet (Fanning), the daughter of a Hooters waitress (Pfeiffer) and a former professional wrestler. Margo, now an unemployed single mother in her twenties, struggles to make ends meet, leading her to start an OnlyFans account. When her father re-enters her life, she begins to incorporate his lessons from the world of wrestling into her OnlyFans work, leading to unexpected success.

It’s the latest high-profile TV role Pfeiffer has landed in recent months. In August, it was reported that she would star in Taylor Sheridan’s series “The Madison” for Paramount. Pfeiffer is best known for her film roles, though she has branched out into television in the past few years. She most recently played Betty Ford in the Showtime series “The First Lady.” She also received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role in HBO’s “The Wizard of Lies.” She was nominated for three Oscars for the film — one for “Dangerous Liaisons,” one for “The Fabulous Baker Boys” and another for “Love Field.” She has also starred in films such as “Batman Returns,” “Scarface” and “White Oleander.”

She is repped by CAA, Entertainment360 and Hirsch Wallerstein.

“Margo’s Got Money Troubles” was published in June by William Morrow. David E. Kelley is the screenwriter, executive producer and showrunner of the adaptation. Fanning, Kidman and Pfeiffer will executive produce in addition to their starring roles. Brittany Kahan Ward and Dakota Fanning will executive produce through Fannings’ Lewellen Pictures. Per Saari of Kidman’s Blossom Films is executive producing along with Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions. Thorpe is also an executive producer. A24 is the studio.
