China will continue to attract medium-term and long-term funds to the capital market

BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — China will release guidelines aimed at encouraging medium- and long-term funds to enter the capital market, China’s top securities regulator said on Tuesday.

The guidelines are aimed at improving the system for supporting the introduction of various types of medium-term and long-term funds to the capital market, Wu Qing, head of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), said at a press conference.

The CSRC will also publish six measures to promote mergers and acquisitions and work with various parties to facilitate the flow of private equity and venture capital funds in the process of raising funds, investing, managing and disbursing funds, Wu said.

According to Wu, greater efforts will be made to protect the legitimate rights and interests of small and medium-sized investors, as well as decisive actions to combat illegal activities such as financial fraud and market manipulation.
