Unicommerce strengthens sales and marketing with two new directors

ABSTRACT

Unicommerce has appointed Pranay Kale as Senior Director, Sales and Vaibhav Mehrotra as Senior Director, Marketing, to strengthen its leadership team and drive growth in the e-commerce enablement space.

Kale has 18 years of experience in software as a service (SaaS) sales, while Mehrotra has over 15 years of experience in digital marketing. Both are expected to strengthen Unicommerce’s market presence and customer acquisition strategies.

The appointments coincide with a report from Unicommerce that saw revenues grow by 9.18% and net profits increase by 30.97%, while it plans to expand into international markets in countries such as Thailand, Egypt and Qatar.

Enterprise technology startup Unicommerce has strengthened its leadership team with two new hires to drive growth in its e-commerce support business.

The company has hired Pranay Kale as senior director, India sales (acquisitions) and Vaibhav Mehrotra as senior director, marketing (corporate).

Kale’s experience in selling software as a service (SaaS) and Mehrotra’s digital marketing expertise should strengthen Unicommerce’s market presence and customer acquisition strategies, the startup said in a statement.

Both Kale and Mehrotra have been appointed to senior management positions effective September 23, 2024, Unicommerce said in a filing with the stock exchange.

Kale has over 18 years of experience in the SaaS industry, working across BFSI, Technology, and Manufacturing verticals globally. He most recently served as Vice President and Head of Enterprise Business at LeadSquared since April 2023, where he led Solution Sales and Business Development.

Mehrotra has over 15 years of experience in brand, product, digital and performance marketing. He joined Unicommerce from the position of Senior Marketing Director at Cashfree Payments, a position he held since April 2021. In this role, he led the company’s marketing strategy and execution.

These appointments come as Unicommerce continues to deliver strong financial performance. For the quarter ended June 2024, the company reported a 9.18% year-on-year growth in revenue from operations at INR 27.47 Cr, while net profit increased by 30.97% up to INR 3.51 Cr.

Unicommerce, which went public in August 2024.serves over 3,600 customers and manages over 8,300 warehouses. The company intends to expand its presence in international markets, including Thailand, Egypt, Kenya, Bahrain and Qatar.
