Tecno Pop 9 5G with 48-megapixel rear camera, IP54 rating launched in India: Price, specifications

The Tecno Pop 9 5G was launched in India on Tuesday. The new budget smartphone from Transsion comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera and also comes with NFC support. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It is currently up for pre-order and will go on sale in early October, according to the company. The phone is a successor to the Tecno Pop 8 that was launched in the country earlier this year.

Tecno Pop 9 5G Price in India, Availability

The Tecno Pop 9 5G price in India starts at Rs 9,499 for the 4GB + 64GB option, while the 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999. The phone is currently up for pre-order via Amazon and will first go on sale on October 7.

As per the e-commerce platform, customers can book the phone for a token amount of Rs 499, which will be credited to their Amazon Pay account at the time of purchase.

The Tecno Pop 9 5G is available in three colour options – Aurora Cloud, Azure Sky and Midnight Shadow, and the handset comes with two free phone skins.

The Dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) Tecno Pop 9 5G has an unspecified LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the Tecno Pop 9 5G has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 rear camera sensor along with an LED flash. It comes with an 8-megapixel front camera. The handset has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The Tecno Pop 9 5G has a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging. The phone has an Infrared (IR) blaster and IP54-rated protection against dust and splashes. It is claimed to be the first 5G phone in this segment with NFC support. The handset measures 165 x 77 x 8mm and weighs 189g.
