Whatfix raises $125M to expand global reach and enhance its digital platform

Digital enablement platform and analytics provider Whatfix Pvt. Ltd. today announced that it has raised $125 million in new late-stage funding to expand its product offering through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, as well as expand its market presence globally.

Founded in 2014, Whatfix offers a digital adoption platform that helps organizations improve software adoption and user productivity. Powered by generative AI, Whatfix’s product suite includes a digital adoption platform, simulated app environments for hands-on training, and code-free app analytics.

Whatfix’s platform, based on a concept it somewhat awkwardly calls “Userization,” shifts responsibility to the technology to ensure it adapts to users, not the other way around. By leveraging generative AI across its product suite, combined with digital adoption, product analytics, and application simulation, Whatfix accelerates a user-first approach with an “experience layer” across the enterprise software stack. This enables enterprises to maximize ROI across the stack while enabling employees to be more productive.

Whatfix services include codeless authoring, which allows you to create interactive guides without coding, and multi-format content generation that automatically generates videos, PDFs, and slideshows. Additionally, content segmentation enables targeted content delivery to specific groups of users, providing a more personalized experience.

In terms of analytics and integration, Whatfix offers AI-driven product analytics to optimize software usage and user engagement, as well as user behavior tracking to monitor application interactions. The company’s services offer cross-platform support for web, desktop, and mobile, enterprise integrations, and a self-hosting option to ensure seamless deployment and adaptability across systems.

Whatfix has seen strong growth since its last venture capital raise in 2021, with annual recurring revenue up 4.5 times, although it didn’t provide absolute numbers. The company serves more than 80 Fortune 500 companies and has clients that include Arrow Electronics Inc., Schneider Electric SE and Avnet Inc., as well as partners including Microsoft Corp., Salesforce Inc., Infosys Ltd. and Accenture plc, which use Whatfix to accelerate returns on their technology investments.

Warburg Pincus led the Series E financing round, with participation from existing investor SoftBank Vision Fund 2 LP.

“Enterprises are grappling with the complexities of digital transformation and the ever-increasing pressure to deliver exceptional user experiences,” said co-founder and CEO Khadim Batti. “This investment will put fuel in the tank, accelerating a new era of innovation in our industry, reinforcing the unparalleled value we offer our customers, and changing the future of software adoption.”
