On Wednesday, September 25, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, accompanied by a delegation of 20 other officials from Croatia on a several-day visit to southern California, visited the port of Los Angeles.

Port of Los Angeles Executive Director Gene Seroka and other staff shared information on port infrastructure, sustainability and supply chain issues with a delegation from Croatia, a major port hub in Europe. San Pedro, where the Port of Los Angeles is located, is also home to many residents with Croatian roots.

Croatia, located in Central-South-Eastern Europe, close to Italy, has a rapidly growing shipping sector. There are six international ports and marinas in the country: Rijeka, Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Ploče and Dubrovnik.
