e& and Nokia Bell Labs sign a memorandum of understanding to develop responsible artificial intelligence in industrial automation

Nokia’s research arm, Nokia Bell Labs, and e&, a global technology group, announced that they have signed a one-year, non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research and development to create AI-powered use cases for strategic industrial sectors.

The goal is to develop responsible AI solutions for sustainable enterprise and industrial automation applications and accelerate innovative concepts towards real-world implementations.

The MoU includes exploring opportunities for collaboration with industry, universities and research centers. Both organizations strive to develop innovative solutions in the areas of artificial intelligence and information and communication technologies that fit into the overall vision of industrial automation and digitalization. Network connectivity, artificial intelligence and advanced computing are fundamental to solving the difficult industrial challenges of productivity, efficiency, safety, health and sustainability that many industry sectors face today.
