Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar inspects construction work on Almora police line

Almora (Uttarakhand) (India), September 27 (ANI): Uttarakhand Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar during his trip to Kumaon on Friday visited Police Line Almora and inspected the ongoing construction works (Administration Building, Women Barracks, Type 4 Houses).

During the inspection, DGP Kumar directed the employees of the implementing agency to maintain good quality of construction works and complete the works on time. He also directed SSP Almora Devendra Pincha to conduct periodic inspections of construction works.

He also accepted greetings from a guard at the Almora police line.

DGP said that currently, as part of the modernization of the Police, many works are being carried out in the country, which also includes the construction/modernization of Police buildings/offices. The aim of which is to provide the police with good and well-equipped apartments and offices.

The DGP directed all district heads to take necessary action, especially to effectively control crimes against women/cyber crimes/increasing drug addiction among youth. In addition, instructions were also issued for effective counseling of youth who have fallen victim to drug addiction with a view to reintegrating them into society.

The DGP said that cyber fraud has now become a challenge that is extremely necessary to combat. People fall victim to scams and lose all their income in one go. Every possible effort should be made to arrest cyber fraudsters by taking immediate action when cases of cyber fraud are detected.

On September 20, DGP Kumar conducted a key meeting on requirements and assessment of machinery, equipment and installations as per the requirements of the judicial process for effective implementation of the new criminal law.

The meeting was also attended by officers from the prosecutor’s office, the justice department and the prison department, including senior police officers.

DGP Abhinav Kumar, while discussing various topics and issuing directions, said that for effective implementation of the new criminal law, a proposal should be prepared to make video conferencing systems and equipment such as tablets, personal cameras, mobile phones, crime kits, fingerprint scanners, etc. available to all police stations. officers, from the level of inspector to the level of chief police officer.
