A man accused of raping a woman he met on a dating app

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Using videos he posted on YouTube, Jonesboro police tracked down a man suspected of raping a woman he met on a dating app.

Craighead County District Court Judge David Boling on Friday, September 27, found probable cause to charge 29-year-old Louines Laguerre with one count of rape.

The statement says officers responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred on September 23 at 300 Garden Manor Drive.

The victim said she met Laguerre on a dating app.

While watching a music video he shot and posted on YouTube, the victim told police that Laguerre exposed himself and asked her to perform a sexual act.

When she refused, according to court documents, the woman said Laguerre held her down and forced her to “have unwanted sex.”

After leaving the home, the victim said she received a text message from Laguerre saying, “I’m sorry.”

The victim provided investigators with Laguerre’s dating app profile photos and information about his YouTube channel, which police used to identify him.

Laguerre is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond and awaits arraignment on November 14. If he posted bail, the judge ordered him to wear a GPS ankle monitor.

Judge Boling also ordered Laguerre to have no contact with the victim.
