Tango of world dance art and local culture

The 12th World DanceSport Festival, which took place on September 21-22 in the Jinniu district of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, not only gave residents the opportunity to enjoy the charms of dance performances and sports, but also a chance for event participants from around the world to get to know the local culture and art.

The district authorities invited event participants to visit interesting places in Jinń, including scenic spots, amusement parks and a regional clothing personalization center. During the trips, the dancers also came into contact with intangible cultural heritage, learned calligraphy and played traditional Chinese instruments.

The event and these activities represent the latest efforts of the Jinniu government to integrate sports, culture, arts and tourism in its efforts to promote the comprehensive socio-economic development of the district.
