Wisconsin man charged with illegally possessing a firearm with a machine gun conversion device

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 22-year-old Wisconsin man has been formally charged in federal court with criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm with a machine gun conversion device.

According to the release, Jontrae Larsen, 22, of Madison, allegedly possessed a Glock 17 pistol with a machine gun conversion device on or about November 22, 2023, through January 6, 2024.

One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 153

A machine gun conversion device converts a semi-automatic pistol into a fully automatic one. Machine gun conversion devices are illegal, as are any firearms containing such devices.

Larsen faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
