Winnipeg high school football teams will face each other on Friday night

Eight high school football teams took to the field on Friday night, leading to some exciting matchups across the city.

Winnipeg AAAA teams Vincent Massey Collegiate and River East Collegiate faced off, with the Trojans defeating the Kodiaks 28-10.

Steinbach Regional High School won 56-13 over Kildonan East Collegiate.

Brandon’s Crocus Plains Regional High School won 35-6 over Sisler High School.

Moving on to the AAA division, in the only game Kenora’s Beaver Brae Secondary School won 47-14 against St. John’s High School.

The first and only weekend game of the regular season will take place on Saturday, during which St. Paul’s Crusaders will face the Elmwood Giants on their home field. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m
