CloudBees announces monumental milestone of $150 million in annual revenue

CloudBees, the world’s leading software development platform, announced at its annual DevOps World that it achieved record revenues of $150 million, became cash flow positive, and now has over 500,000 developers using its automation platform. The company says all these key metrics put it in a solid position to play an instrumental role in helping the world’s leading companies transition to a new future of hybrid cloud technology.

This monumental achievement was officially announced by Sacha Labourey, one of the co-founders of CloudBees, at DevOps World Virtual 2024 on September 17, 2024, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Jenkins, the popular open-source automation server on which CloudBees platforms offer support enterprise class.

“As long-time collaborators of the Jenkins project, this event was not only a celebration of its history, but also a look into the future of software delivery,” said Labourey.

In addition to record revenues, CloudBees also announced that it has surpassed 500,000 developers using its platform worldwide.

The company says it empowers hundreds of reputable companies across a variety of industries, including finance, healthcare, technology and public services. Anuj Kapur, formerly Cisco’s chief strategy officer and president of SAP, and now CEO of CloudBees from 2022, said the company has expanded its operations, increased revenues and managed to reach more developers.

According to Kapur, CloudBees is at the forefront of innovation and is committed to continuously supporting developers to address the challenges and opportunities of the new hybrid cloud world.

“The Global 2000 has three key priorities – empowering developers, securely modernizing applications, and harnessing the power of artificial intelligence for transformation,” Kapur said. “The reality, however, is that their environments are hybrid, multi-vendor and very complex. The open-source SaaS DevSecOps platform CloudBees can be their partner on this journey.

Under Kapur’s leadership, CloudBees also hired a group of accomplished executives who have held leadership positions at top-tier companies such as PayPal, Atlassian and PTC.

Marc Gemassmer, previously CEO of Vectra AI, joined CloudBees as chief revenue officer (CRO) in December 2022. A year later in November 2023, the company welcomed Raj Sarkar on board as chief marketing officer. He was named one of Forbes’ Top 50 Entrepreneurs Raj’s chief marketing officers will lead the company’s global marketing strategy and execution, Kapur said. Richa Gupta joined the company in September as chief human resources officer.

With a new leadership team led by Kapur, new revenue growth and a passion to play a leading role in the global technology transition to a new hybrid cloud future, CloudBees is passionately committed to the future and its growth opportunities.
