UPITS –2024: Orders from foreign customers encouraging exhibitors

According to officials at the UP International Trade Show (UPITS)-2024 exhibitors, orders are coming in not only from domestic buyers but also from those from Australia, Zimbabwe, Cuba and Somalia, to name a few.

The increase in international orders is due to over 50,000 business (B2B) and around 1.25 lakh business (B2C) visitors who visited the show from September 25-27.

Around 2,550 exhibitors set up their stalls in 15 halls at India Expo Mart. Traditional handicrafts of Uttar Pradesh, including pottery, weaving and embroidery, attract a large number of foreign visitors.

There is also great interest in stands related to handicrafts, technology, agricultural products, textiles and food products.

The exhibition of organic agricultural products also attracts crowds from abroad and home, where fruits, vegetables and cereals are presented.

The fair has become a destination not only for people from Delhi and Noida but also from the adjoining regions of Meerut, Bulandshahr and all parts of western Uttar Pradesh.

The wide range of products presented delighted visitors.

The food and beverage pavilion is one of the main attractions of the fair. A wide range of foodstuffs, spices and local delicacies are presented there, with special emphasis on traditional dishes from Uttar Pradesh.

In addition, numerous technological and innovative startups attract visitors’ attention. They showcase their latest products, including smart devices, artificial intelligence solutions and industrial machines.

Exhibits featuring robotics, drone technology and smart agricultural solutions provide insight into the industrial needs of the future, reflecting the cutting-edge developments shaping tomorrow’s industry.

The Trade Show is creating a sensation on social media

UPITS-2024 became a sensation on social media platforms, especially on microblogging platform X. Several hashtags were used to promote this mega event that reached millions of people.

The hashtag #UPITS2024 reached 32 million (3.2 crore) on social media, while #UPInternationalTradeShow reached 27 million (2.7 crore). Additionally, #Upinternationaltradeshow2024 garnered 4.8 million (48 lakh), #UPITS 7,19,000 and #GlobalBizHubUP reached 6,59,000.

2.60 lakh visitors in four days

While 40,811 visitors visited the fair on the opening day, around 90,000 visitors arrived at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on the fourth day, Saturday. Officials said the total number of visitors to the fair over the four days was 2.60 lakh.
