Laurinda Calongne was hired by Franciscan Missionaries of the University of St. Mary as the first executive director of the Franciscan Center for Professional Development.

Calongne served as chief academic officer at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for nine years and was an adjunct professor at FranU for almost four years. She was appointed by former President George W. Bush to the Council on Graduate Medical Education.

Michael Gardner was promoted by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana to the vice president of corporate data.

Gardner has almost 30 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of information systems. He joined Louisiana Blue in 1996, most recently serving as director of corporate data strategy.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in quantitative business analysis from LSU.

New Orleans

Allison Whitt was promoted to the position of director of housing services Greater New Orleans Travelers Aid Society.

Whitt has worked at Travelers Aid since 2017, starting as a manager for the organization’s ongoing housing support program.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in social work from Tulane University.

Mayté Hernandez joined Travelers Aid as Director of Case Management Services.

Hernandez previously led the development and expansion of a pediatric mental health care management program in upper Manhattan, with a focus on underserved communities.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Puerto Rico’s Rio Piedras campus, a master’s degree in psychology from the City University of New York, and a master’s degree in public administration from the City College of New York.

Jones Walker added seven lawyers from the corporate team at Fishman Haygood to its New Orleans office.

John Werner, Chip Saulsbury AND Tyler Marquette they join the company as partners.

Werner was a former managing partner and member of the management committee at Fishman Haygood.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Duke University and a law degree from Tulane University School of Law. While in law school, Werner clerked for U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter in Shreveport.

Saulsbury focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance and general corporate matters.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and a law degree with honors from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While in law school, Saulsbury served as senior editor of the Louisiana Law Review.

Marquette is an experienced commercial real estate attorney whose practice includes development, construction, acquisitions and sales, financing and leasing.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from LSU and a law degree with honors from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.

Meghan Montgomery joins as an associate and will become a partner in January.

Montgomery is a corporate lawyer who focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, capital raisings, joint ventures and general corporate matters.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with honors from Tulane University and a law degree with honors from Tulane University School of Law. While in law school, Montgomery was deputy editor of the Tulane Law Review. She was a law clerk for U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Edith Brown Clement of New Orleans and the late U.S. District Judge Martin L. C. Feldman of New Orleans.

Tyler Andrews, Anna McAloon AND Michael Stewart join as members of the corporate practice group.

Andrews is a financial lawyer who advises clients in connection with corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and private equity transactions.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Vanderbilt University and a law degree with honors from Tulane University School of Law. While in law school, Andrews was senior communications editor at the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.

McAloon practices primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity and general corporate matters.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, magna cum laude, from LSU and a law degree, magna cum laude, from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She was a senior editor of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources.

Stewart is a real estate attorney whose practice includes acquisitions and dispositions, private equity investments, corporate financing and other general business matters.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from LSU and a law degree with honors from Loyola University College of Law. He was an articles editor for the Loyola Law Review.

BethWalker was appointed general director for Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Walker has served as CEO of Ochsner Baptist since 2019. She began her healthcare career at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans in 2002 and has served in a number of roles within the health system, including vice president of operations for Women’s and Children’s Services and director of operations for outpatient clinics at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
