Tata Power Inks Rs 1.2 Lakh Pact with Rajasthan for Green Energy Transformation

Tata Power has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with the Rajasthan government to invest Rs 1.2 lakh crore in the state’s power sector. This includes a significant Rs 75,000 crore allocation for green energy initiatives.

The 10-year strategic plan aims to transition Rajasthan into a power surplus state, ensuring a 24/7 supply of clean, affordable, and reliable energy. Key investment areas encompass renewable energy projects, grid modernization, nuclear power, rooftop solar installations, and EV charging infrastructure.

The partnership, announced during the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Investor Meet in New Delhi, is expected to create over 28,000 direct jobs and has already seen Tata Power establish a strong presence in the state with over 1 GW of solar projects and significant wind power initiatives.
