Olivia Nuzzi gets no contact with ex Ryan Lizza after RFK Jr. tryst

Olivia Nuzzi has been banned from contacting her ex-fiance, Ryan Lizza.

According to an August filing obtained by CNN on Tuesday, Nuzzi, 31, accused Lizza – a prominent Politico political journalist – of threatening to reveal her personal information and even hacking into one of her electronic devices in order to blackmail her.

Specifically, Nuzzi said Lizza, 50, “expressly threatened to make personal information about her public in order to destroy (her) life, career and reputation – a threat she has since followed through on.”

She also accused Lizza of using a “third party or anonymous channel” to tell her employer she was having an affair with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Nuzzi also stated in her complaint that Lizza began strategically harassing her in July to force her to remain in a relationship with him.

In addition to hacking into her personal electronic device, she accused her ex-fiance of sharing “fabricated” information about her with the media and impersonating an “anonymous campaign operative” to spread political information, further damaging her reputation.

Moreover, Nuzzi claimed that Lizza threatened her with violence “in order to assume his share of financial responsibility” for the book contract they shared.

Lizza denied the allegations in a statement to The Post on Tuesday.

“I am saddened that my former fiancée resorted to making a number of false accusations against me in order to divert attention from her own personal and professional failures,” he said.

“I strongly deny these allegations and will defend myself against them vigorously and effectively.”

In the wake of Nuzzi’s allegations of harassment and blackmail, The Post confirmed that Lizza will be taking a leave of absence from Politico.

“Politico and Ryan Lizza have mutually agreed that it is in everyone’s best interest for him to withdraw and take leave of absence while the investigation is conducted,” the statement said.

The court hearing was scheduled for October 15.

Nuzzi, who got engaged to Lizza in September 2022, was given a police escort to collect her belongings from the apartment the former couple shared.

Last month, Nuzzi was fired from her position as New York Magazine’s Washington correspondent after admitting that while covering the campaign, she “made a personal contact with a former 2024 campaign subject.”

Sources previously told The Post that Nuzzi and RFK Jr. they had sex at the beginning of the year.

A spokesman for the former presidential candidate, who is married to Cheryl Hines, denied that RFK Jr. ever had a relationship with Nuzzi and stated that they had met “once in a lifetime” when a reporter profiled him last fall.

However, according to a mutual friend, the independent politician, 70, is considering taking legal action against Nuzzi after she allegedly “bombarded him with increasingly pornographic photos and videos.”
