Many Alabama colleges have waive application fees for 1 week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – If you or someone you know is a high school senior looking to take the next step by applying to colleges, the Alabama Department of Education is reminding you of a week in which you won’t have to pay fees applying to many Universities!

Thousand of Alabama high school students will find there’s no charge during Alabama College Application Week, which runs from Oct. 7-11 in 2024.

Many Alabama colleges are taking part in the statewide fee-free week, as are some colleges around the Southeast.

“Last year, more than 250 Alabama schools participated and nearly 28,000 students applied to colleges nationwide,” said Alabama College Application Campaign (ALCAC) Coordinator, Dr. Monica P. Mack.

When choosing the colleges you want to apply to, make sure you look at the list of required application codes to ensure the applications are free.
