Belpre Chamber Presents Annual Dinner October 24 | News, sports, work

VIENNA – The Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 86th annual Cruising First Class dinner on October 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Pointe Conference and Reception Center, 1500 Grand Central Ave. in Vienna.

Tickets for the buffet meal are $65 and can be purchased by calling 740-423-8934, through links in the Chamber press release, or at www.belprechamber.com under the Events tab. Sponsorships including advertising and tickets can be obtained by contacting the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce office.

Community Time will be held from 5:30-6 p.m. Social Time Snacks and Coffee Break will focus on networking and greeting friends and business contacts. Dessert cupcakes will be on display.

In keeping with the theme of the dinner, members of the chamber who are captains of their ships will be presented.

The Focus Captain speaker is Lindsey Kerr Piersol, executive director of Parkersburg-Wood County Area Development Corp.

Piersol was named Young Gun in the Class of 2024 by West Virginia Executive Magazine naming her one of 10 exceptional West Virginians who are recognized each year “for their continued work to improve the world around them.”

Other Captains will share their journeys to business success.

The dinner and celebration caps off a great year and focuses on the achievements of the Chamber and its members, Walters said.

Join us for an evening filled with food, drinks, music, prizes and camaraderie.” said Tammy Belcher, president and CEO of 1st Mutual Bank, executive vice president and chairman of the merger committee.“We can’t wait to celebrate another year with you.”

Ben Bradley of Sow-N-Sew and Sun will be the Master of Ceremonies.

Hayley Watson Keffer, a singer and artist from Zanesville, will create the atmosphere of a cruise ship lounge with her singing, personality and various musical genres.

House members were asked to share their stories of how they became captains of their ships.

The event will include videos presented at 5:30 p.m. on social media, presenting Platinum Sponsors and other supporters, as well as the Year in Review.

Outstanding companies, people and organizations will be in the spotlight during the Awards Night.

Awards include Belpre Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Spirit of the Chamber, Businessman of the Year, Community Spirit, Business of the Year and Non-Profit Organization of the Year. The winner of the Chamber Business Marketing Funding competition will also be announced.
