Accenture is creating a new Nvidia business group focused on agent-based implementation of artificial intelligence

“Many of you probably heard from our recently closed fiscal year earnings that the demand for generative AI has driven $3 billion in bookings at Accenture,” Lan Guan, Accenture’s chief artificial intelligence officer, said at a press conference on Tuesday. “However, many of our customers, many business organizations, are not yet realizing the full benefits of generational AI.”

In fact, Guan said, Accenture estimates that only 10% of companies have fully scaled AI Gen. She cited cost, complexity, technical debt, data and talent readiness as common obstacles companies face. However, the goal of Accenture Nvidia’s new business group is to help customers overcome these challenges and make the most of next-generation AI.

“We believe the next wave of agent-based AI will be a huge leap forward and a game-changer in the way our customers reinvent their businesses,” Guan said. “For me, it’s no longer just about prompting pre-built large language models and waiting for a response — what we call zero-shot prompting. Now, with agent-based AI, we can actually develop specialized capabilities that can independently and autonomously, or act to advance against humans’ goals or intentions.”
