Account balance is $0, other issues have been reported

According to Downdetector, the peak of the outage occurred around 1 p.m. Some customers reported problems accessing their accounts.

Bank of America customers reported problems accessing their bank accounts for at least several hours on Wednesday.

According to the Downdetector website, the number of trouble reports spiked around 1 p.m. EST, when approximately 20,266 outages were reported.

Users have complained that their account balances are not visible on the app, and others have reported that they can access their accounts but have a $0 balance.

“The app is down and online banking shows yesterday’s balance,” one user told Downdetector.

“BoA access to BoA in the app and in the browser remains at least partially disabled for us,” another user said. “I can now see some of our accounts, but not all of them. The cross-account transfer feature remains non-functional for all accounts.”

Bank of America told USA TODAY later Wednesday that “these issues are currently under review and have largely been resolved.”

“We apologize for any inconvenience,” the company said.
