The plane of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered 33 tons of humanitarian aid to Lebanon – World

BEIRUT, October 3. /TASS/. As reported by a TASS correspondent, an Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people to Beirut.

A special flight carried 33 tons of humanitarian cargo to the Lebanese capital. The shipment includes food, medicines, necessities and 80 kW power plants.

The flight took place on the basis of orders from the Russian government and a request from Lebanon.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Emergency Situations told TASS that the humanitarian operation was carried out in accordance with the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the instructions of the Minister of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov.

On September 23, Israel launched Operation Northern Arrows against the Lebanon-based Shiite Hezbollah movement, carrying out massive airstrikes against its military targets. The declared goal is to create safe conditions for the return of local residents to Israel’s northern border areas. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in the attack on Beirut on September 27. The Israeli army announced the launch of a ground operation in the border areas of southern Lebanon in the early morning hours of October 1.
