The Adani Group will provide clean energy to Google in India

The Adani Group and Google today announced their clean energy collaboration. In a statement, the Adani Group said it will supply clean energy from a new hybrid solar-wind project located at its renewable power plant in Khavda, Gujarat. The new project is expected to begin commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025.

The statement said the group has proven potential to deliver large-scale wind, solar, hybrid and energy storage projects. “Adani is well positioned to provide tailored renewable energy solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers to meet their energy requirements and reduce their carbon footprint,” he said.

Going forward, Adani plans to increase its focus on commercial and C&I segments to help decarbonize the industries.

The collaboration will help achieve Google’s goal of 24/7 zero-emission energy by ensuring that its cloud services and operations in India are powered by clean energy, thereby contributing to Google’s sustainable growth in India.
