Jakson Solar Modules and Cells, a unit of Indian energy company Jakson Group, launched the Helia NXT R series of solar modules at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The n-type bifacial modules use n-type TOPCon rectangular cells with 16 busbars and have an efficiency of up to 23.34%. “With this technology, the module can provide a maximum output power ranging from 610 W to 630 W, ensuring high power generation along with increased mechanical strength and reliability, especially useful in harsh environments,” Jakson Solar said.

The modules are composed of 132 semi-cut n-type TOPCon cells based on rectangular G12R plates. The reversibility rate is up to 85%. The modules have dimensions of 2382 mm × 1133 mm × 35/30 mm and weigh 34.5 kg.

The modules were launched in the presence of Prashant Kumar Singh, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and board members of Jakson Group.

Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Kumar Singh, Secretary, MNRE, said, “The introduction of new technologies like Helia NXT R highlights important advancements in the renewable energy sector. Such innovations are essential to drive sustainable energy growth and support India’s clean energy goals.”

In a recent update, the company also revealed plans to invest around INR 2,000 crore ($215.9 million) to set up a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing plant and also increase its solar module production capacity from 1.2 GW to 2 GW.
