Independent sells to move into agency compliance

An independent rental agency has sold a property to another independent company for a six-figure sum that secures the company’s future.

McCartan Lettings & Property Management Ltd was founded in Swansea in 2006 by Hannah McCartan, who now says: “After an incredible 18 years, I felt the time was right to sell and I’m delighted to be passing the baton to the new owners. Property Management number one based in Newport.

“Looking back on 2006, when I wrote the first business plan for McCartan Lettings, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved. I set out to change the perception of what a Letting Agent could be and I truly believe I have achieved this because of the reputation and brand that McCartan Lettings has become.

McCartan has now established The Landlord Community, a compliance and training center designed to support landlords across Wales.
