It was not a peaceful Sunday night for residents of a Buangkok apartment building as 100 people were forced to evacuate their homes due to a fire.

On October 6 at around 8:35 p.m., the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) responded to a fire in an apartment on the fourth floor of the Park Green apartment building in Rivervale Link.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene found that the fire had spread to the living room and kitchen of the apartment.

“Firefighters extinguished the fire with two water jets. There was no one in the unit at the time of the incident,” SCDF said in a statement.

“About 100 people were evacuated from neighboring units,” SCDF added.
