The suspect of the child injured as a result of the crash was arrested

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A child was injured following an apparent hit-and-run Wednesday night, according to Bryan police.

The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Boone Street around 7:30 p.m. Police said they found the child with “minor injuries.” Child, St. He was taken to St. Joseph Hospital but was later transferred to a children’s hospital for observation.

Police said the suspect driving the vehicle hit the child at a low speed and fled the scene before police arrived. According to police, the child’s mother also fled the scene.

The suspect then responded to Bryan PD and “cooperated with the investigation.” The suspect was arrested on outstanding warrants unrelated to the hit-and-run.

Police have not released any identities related to the investigation at this time.
