Search underway for man who failed to appear at sentencing hearing

BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) – The Fayette County Prosecutor says an arrest warrant has been issued for a 55-year-old Mabscott man after he failed to appear for his sentencing hearing pain.

Fayette County Prosecutor Anthony Ciliberti Jr. said Johnny L. Kincaid pleaded guilty in July to sex crimes involving his 12-year-old step-granddaughter. Kincaid was then placed on home detention with GPS monitoring and was released on bond.

Ciliberti Jr. said that on Oct. 11, Kincaid removed the GPS home confinement monitor from his ankle and failed to appear for his sentencing hearing, which was scheduled for Oct. 11.

Kincaid’s last known address is 101 Chestnut Street, Apt. 3 in Mabscott, West Virginia, and Ciliberti Jr. said Kincaid may be driving a white 2009 Ford Ranger with West Virginia license plate 204635A.

If anyone has information on Kincaid, contact West Virginia State Police at 304-469-2915 or call local law enforcement.
