Broadway dancer Zelig Williams, who has starred in hit shows like Hamilton And MJ: the musicalhas been missing for over a week, and now the research is getting an extra set of eyes thanks to a renowned former collaborator: Hugh Jackman.

Williams worked as a dancer on Jackman’s 2019 “The Man. The Music. The Show” tour. In recent weeks, he had been promoting a workshop at Palmetto Performing Arts in Columbia, South Carolina, where he was teaching aspiring actors how to audition for a Broadway show. According to WNBC and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department, he was last seen Oct. 3 driving in the Congaree State Park area.

Williams’ aunt, Mieoki Corbett-Jacobs, asked anyone with information to contact authorities. “He went to Broadway to perform in some very big shows and recently returned home to share his experiences and help others,” she told WACH. “Any news you hear is big news. Even the smallest detail can be a big help in finding him.”

On October 10, Deadpool and Wolverine Star Hugh Jackman helped spread the message to his more than 34 million Instagram followers. “Please, if anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Zelig Williams, please contact your local authorities,” the 55-year-old actor wrote. “Zelig, we love you and pray for your safe return. Please pass this message on!!!”

The search for the stage actor is ongoing, according to Richmond County Sheriff Leon Lott. “We searched the air on foot in different locations,” Lott said, according to SIE. “Other investigative techniques that we will use (will involve) cell phones and other things that I don’t want to discuss at this point.”
