We are starting to ship Android Find My Device trackers

After Google announced the launch of the Find My Device network on Android last month, the first trackers are finally starting to reach customers.

Find My Device for Android was first announced in 2023, but has been delayed waiting for Apple to port unwanted/unknown tracker alerts to iOS. With this finally happening in iOS 17.5, Google has opened the floodgates to AirTag-like trackers that work with Android.

As announced in April, the first trackers from Chipolo and Pebblebee will begin shipping this month. Both companies said their trackers will begin shipping to customers on May 27.

Now the first reports about the shipment of orders have started to arrive.

AND 9to5Google a reader sent us an email confirming that the Pebblebee Clip had been shipped. The confirmation email includes a USPS tracking number for the clip, although the package has not yet started shipping through the post office.

It’s no big surprise that Pebblebee is starting shipping early. The company, like Chipolo, stands still many orders for their trackers for over a year now. Pebblebee says shipments of all three Pebblebee trackers will begin reaching customers on May 27, but the early start of shipments suggests that at least some trackers may reach customers earlier than that date. At least in the coming days, more customers will likely receive tracking numbers for their orders, which will be delivered on May 27.

Specifically, Chipolo will ship pre-orders starting May 27, but most customers will wait until June for deliveries. Pebblebee similarly says the units will ship within a few weeks.

Launching Find My Device on Android was slow and chaotic due to high latency, but At lastthis is really happening.

This month, the Find My Device network will be made available on a wider scale, also internationally.

If you pre-ordered a tracker from Pebblebee or Chipolo, let us know in the comments below if your order has shipped!

Thanks Henry!
