DigiCert launches the Device Trust Manager to secure IoT devices

DigiCert has introduced a new solution called Device Trust Manager, which aims to increase the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices throughout their lifecycle. This initiative aims to address the urgent needs of device manufacturers for a comprehensive, scalable method of securing IoT devices, managing complex compliance requirements, and maintaining operational and device integrity in the face of a growing range of threats.

With the number of connected devices expected to grow by 55.7 billion by 2025, spanning areas such as consumer electronics, healthcare equipment and industrial systems, the threat landscape is increasing in complexity and diversity. A vast, interconnected ecosystem complicates compliance issues as organizations grapple with stringent security standards and regulations across different device types, environments, and international boundaries.
