Accenture will acquire the consulting company Partners in Performance – ARN

Accenture intends to acquire consulting firm Partners in Performance, leveraging its data and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

Accenture, acquired for an undisclosed amount and subject to closing conditions, says the acquisition will expand its offering to clients in the metals and mining, oil and gas, utilities and chemicals industries by improving “reinventing costs and productivity” as well as capital project delivery and accelerating energy transition and decarbonization efforts.

The consulting company was founded in Melbourne in 1996 and has employees operating on five continents, providing, among others, digital transformation services. As a result of the transaction, approximately 400 employees will join Accenture’s strategic department. This includes Partners in Performance founder and managing director Skipp Williamson, who will join Accenture as a senior managing director.

Peter Burns, Accenture’s general manager for Australia and New Zealand, said the acquisition reflected the company’s commitment to supporting asset-intensive industries.

“This is an investment that will combine Accenture’s operational technology and security expertise with the business improvement capabilities of Partners in Performance to drive lasting change and increase productivity for our clients.”
