Crypto Exchange Traded Products Get UK Regulatory Approval (2)

Britain’s financial regulator has approved the first cryptocurrency-traded products, a step towards catching up with other financial centers in terms of digital assets.

WisdomTree Inc.-rte-company> said it has received the green light from the Financial Conduct Authority-bsp-bb-link> to list a pair of physically-backed cryptocurrency ETPs tracking Bitcoin and Ether on the London Stock Exchange-rte-company>. The products could begin shipping as early as May 28, WisdomTree said in a statement Wednesday. Invesco Digital Markets confirmed in a statement that the company has received approval for the Bitcoin ETP and also expects to begin trading on May 28.
