Tinubu appoints new heads of two federal agencies • OK.ng

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of two new Directors-General as heads of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) and the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA).

engineer Chukwuemeka Woke has been appointed as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of NOSDRA, while Dr. Adedeji Ashiru will assume the position of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of OORBDA.

According to a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Eng. Woke is a seasoned engineer, environmental professional and politician who has held various positions including the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area of ​​Rivers State and the Chief of Staff of the Port Harcourt House of Government.

Dr. Ashiru holds a PhD in Engineering from Commonwealth University in the UK and leads a consortium of blue chip companies with extensive experience in his professional career.

President Tinubu expects the new CEOs to bring their expertise to their new roles, achieving sustainable gains and improvements in their agencies while maintaining transparency in their operations.
