V.tal signs solar energy contracts with Atiaia Energia and Atlas Brasil Energia

V.tal, a leading infrastructure company for telecommunications and digital services, has signed two significant agreements for its own solar energy production. These CADE-approved agreements include partnerships with generators Atiaia Energia and Atlas Brasil Energia.

Under the agreement with Atiaia Energia, V.tal will create two consortiums, which will include a company from the V.tal group and special purpose vehicles Sol do Agreste Geração de Energia Ltda. and Solar do Nordeste Energia Renovável Ltda, both controlled by Atiaia. These consortia will facilitate the implementation of a project for self-generation of electricity for the joint operation of the Sol do Agreste I, IV and V projects. This photovoltaic complex is located in the municipalities of Tacaimbó and São Caetano in Pernambuco and has a total capacity of 103 MW. According to the Aneel generation capacity development monitoring system, the power plants are scheduled to start operating in 2026.

The agreement with Atlas Brasil Energia will enable the creation of nine consortiums for self-production of electricity, allowing for the joint operation of photovoltaic power plants located in the photovoltaic complex in Arinos and Buritizeiro in the state of Minas Gerais. Details about the specific plants affected were not disclosed in public documents.

Completion of these transactions is still pending Aneel’s approval. The financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
