Senior e-commerce executive attacked over road rage

A 31-year-old senior executive of an e-commerce company was allegedly attacked on Friday on Sarjapur road.

According to the complaint, the victim, Akhil Sabu, along with his wife and two-and-a-half-year-old daughter were heading towards the hospital when the accused, later identified as Jagadish, tried to overtake the car from the wrong side. . Akhil did not allow him, after which the accused started shouting and hurling insults at Akhil.

When Akhil objected, the accused allegedly smashed the windshield of the car, resulting in the girl sustaining minor injuries. According to reports, the accused dragged Akhil, attacked him and when she rushed to save him, he knocked his wife to the ground. The accused allegedly tried to persuade passers-by to join him in beating Akhil.

Akhil later raised the issue on the police social media account before filing a complaint. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case of assault, intimidation, unlawful restraint and causing harm to the accused for further investigation.
