Delivery should be a priority for e-commerce sellers

Proper delivery selection and order tracking features are more important to new and loyal e-commerce customers than loyalty programs, additional benefits and payment options. In fact, 70% believe that choosing a delivery option is important.

These are the most important conclusions from the nShift report, which also revealed that 85% of buyers expect a clear returns policy and 72% expect a choice of delivery options.

However, according to the press release containing the results, loyalty programs are important to 60% of shoppers.

“Delivery plays a key role in helping retailers stand out from the crowd, build customer loyalty and grow their revenues. However, if companies treat shipping as a purely logistical feat, they will miss a huge opportunity to turn delivery into a competitive advantage.” Mattias Gredenhag, CTO at nShift, said in a release.
