This year marks a milestone for AgroAmerica, a family-owned, vertically integrated company that provides sustainable food and ingredients around the world. AgroAmerica is proud to bring to market PlanetAan ambitious new sustainability strategy that aims to drive tangible change and redefine the paradigms of sustainable food systems.

PlanetA emerges by combining the essence of AgroAmerica with a deep focus on the planet, highlighting the company’s strong commitment to sustainable practices. It embodies the idea that the Earth is our only home and for which we are all responsible, highlighting AgroAmerica’s action plan to nurture the planet: our common home.

Under the visionary leadership of AgroAmerica CEO Fernando Bolaños, the company is embarking on a transformational journey with PlanetA. This comprehensive strategy addresses key, relevant issues through specific, time-bound goals. Mr. Bolaños asserts: “We are committed to making a tangible difference and setting new standards for what a sustainable food system really means.”

Recognizing that growth and profitability are the key pillars of success, AgroAmerica advocates a perspective beyond simple financial returns. “We strongly believe that true success lies in integrating economic growth with environmental management and social responsibility. Our goal is to exceed neutrality and achieve a net positive result – where our actions not only mitigate the effects, but actively contribute to the development of the planet,” said Javier Aguirre, director of AgroAmerica Sustainability Specialist.

AgroAmerica is emerging as one of the leaders in the region, committed to achieving the Net Zero goal. In line with the science-based reduction targets set out in the SBT initiative, the company is committed to reducing corporate greenhouse gas emissions and supporting a more sustainable future.

In a pioneering pilot model, AgroAmerica is leading the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices across its operations. By working closely with global NGOs and academia, they are developing a production model that supports environmental regeneration while ensuring agricultural productivity.

Through PlanetA, AgroAmerica reaffirms its commitment to leading sustainability in the food industry. In today’s changing market landscape, characterized by greater complexity and demands, the imperative of transparency, forward-looking strategies, accountability and trust has never been clearer. In light of these challenges, PlanetA embodies AgroAmerica’s commitment to positioning itself as a leader in responsible business practices that support the well-being of our planet, our common home.
