More than $2 million in building permits were issued in Moose Jaw in September 2024, including 19 during the month.

The largest permit issued was for $856,920 for 425 4th Ave NW (The Bentley) for apartment alterations and improvements.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Moose Jaw campus received a permit worth $250,000. When asked about the nature of the permit, they released a statement saying:

“The Saskatchewan Polytechnic procurement team and SaskBuilds are working together to renovate space on the Moose Jaw campus for the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. The project will be listed on SaskTenders after the provincial election. All renovations on the Moose Jaw campus require a building permit. SaskBuilds is the owner of the Moose Jaw campus.

Two permits were issued for new single-family home construction, including a $540,000 project at 240 Iron Bridge Drive and a $300,000 project at 1058 Willow Ave.

So far this year, 161 permits have been issued with a total value of $23,625,316, compared to 128 permits worth $71,251,096 at the end of September 2023.
