IRSA releases 329,200 cusecs of water

ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Sunday released 329,200 cusecs of water from various shore stations against an inflow of 366,200 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Barrage was 540.99 feet, which was 20.99 feet higher than the dead level of 1,398 feet. The inflow and outflow of water through the dam was recorded as 137,000 cusecs and 140,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level of Jhelum river at Mangla barrage was 350.00 m, which was 131.90 m higher than its dead level of 3,000 m. Water inflow and outflow were recorded as 74,100 cusecs and 35,000 cusecs respectively.

Water release in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 210,600, 122,600, 105,100 and 26,700 cusecs respectively. Similarly, in the case of Kabul River, a total of 99,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 32,200 cusecs was released from Chenab River at Marala.
