Resolu UK works with the Western youth league Nzema

Resolu UK, a leading environmental organization, has announced a partnership with the Western Nzema Youth League to address climate change and natural gas burning in Nzemaland.

The partnership aims to raise awareness of the impact of climate change and greenhouse gas emissions on the region and empower young people to take action to protect the environment.

Nzemaland, located in the Western Region of Ghana, faces increasing challenges from the operations of Ghana Gas and other operators due to climate change. Rising temperatures, erratic and acidic rainfall, and rising sea levels caused by seaweed are threatening the livelihoods of communities in the region.

The Western Nzema Youth League, a youth-led organization, seeks to address these challenges and promote sustainable development in the area.

Resolu UK, led by Dr Kerrie Thornhill, who has expertise in environmental protection, promoting gender equality and sustainable development, will work closely with the Western Nzema Youth League to develop and implement initiatives to mitigate the effects of climate change in Nzemaland.

This partnership will include conducting research, organizing workshops and training sessions, and implementing community projects to raise awareness and build capacity among young people in the region.

One of the key areas of the partnership will be the promotion of renewable energy solutions in Nzemaland. As power generation in the region relies heavily on fossil fuels, there is an urgent need to transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

Resolu UK and the Nzema Western Youth League will work together to promote the adoption of policies banning gas flaring and gas flaring and other renewable technologies in the region. In addition to promoting renewable energy, the partnership will also focus on sustainable farming practices, waste management and natural resource conservation in Nzemaland.

By engaging young people in these initiatives, the partnership aims to foster a sense of environmental stewardship and empower the next generation of leaders to take action on climate change.

Overall, the partnership between Resol UK and the Western Nzema Youth League represents a significant step forward in addressing climate change issues in Nzemaland. By working together, these two organizations are committed to creating a more sustainable and resilient future for the region and its communities.
