Stock Sectors: Stock Update: Mining Stocks Fall as Market Rise

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower at 10:34 am on Monday

Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. (up 2.84%) was the biggest gainer.

Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd. (down 1.96%), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.69%), KIOCL Ltd. (down 1.42%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (down 1 .40%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd. (down 1.28%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd. (down 1.08%), NMDC Ltd. (down 1.07%), Pokarna Ltd. (down 0 .90%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd. (down 0.71%) and Lexus Granito (India) Ltd. (down 0.60%) were among the biggest losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index rose 33.46 points to 22,990.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 196.38 points to 75,606.77 at around 10:34 am.

Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 2.87%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 1.48%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 1.26%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up by 1.19%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (increase by 1.06%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (increase by 0.87%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (increase by 0.83%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd . (up 0.78%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 0.78%) and Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 0.76%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. In turn, Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down by 2.75%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down by 2.11%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down by 1.78%), Coal India Ltd. (down by 1.67%), Wipro Ltd. (down by 1.53%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (down by 1.2%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down by 1.12%), NTPC Ltd. (down 0.94%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.93%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.85%) were trading in the red.
