IRSA releases 332,200 cusecs of water

ISLAMABAD, May 27 (APP): Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 332,200 cusecs of water from various shore stations against an inflow of 367,500 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Barrage was 540.97 feet, which was 20.97 feet higher than the dead level of 1,398 feet. The water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 145,400 cusecs and 145,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level of the Jhelum river at Mangla barrage was 350.15 m, which was 133.15 m higher than its dead level of 3,000 m. Water inflow and outflow were recorded as 64,900 cusecs and 30,000 cusecs respectively.

Water release in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 193,800, 129,500, 98,800 and 42,100 cusecs respectively. Similarly, in the case of Kabul River, a total of 98,700 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 34,900 cusecs was released from Chenab River at Marala.
