EEA Resource Gains, No Revenue in Q3

Investing.com – EOG Resources (NYSE:EOG) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings that were in line with analyst expectations, but revenue was below forecasts.

The company reported earnings per share of $1.13 on revenue of $4.30 billion. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected EPS of $1.13 on revenue of $4.41 billion. That compared to EPS of $1.75 on revenue of $4.78 billion in the same period a year earlier. In the previous quarter, the company saw EPS of $1.31 on revenue of $4.7 billion.

EOG Resources is tracking other major energy sector results this month

On Friday, Exxon Mobil reported EPS of $0.68 for the third quarter on revenue of $65.05 billion, compared to forecasts for EPS of $0.67 on revenue of $60.9 billion.

Royal Dutch Shell B ADR earnings as of Oct. 31 exceeded analyst expectations, with third-quarter EPS of $1.18 and revenue of $86.59 billion. Investing.com analysts expected EPS of $0.98 on revenue of $84.9 billion
