‘Bigger Dog’: Pet supplies retailer PetO makes new purchases after divesting Petstock

Sydney-based specialty pet supplies retailer PetO will purchase a total of almost 70 new retail stores and veterinary clinics across Australia following Petstock’s decision to divest several locations to allow Woolworths to take a majority stake.

The expansion into WA, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania will see PetO acquire and operate the Petstock Pet City, Best Friends Pets, My Pet Warehouse and OurVet brands. PetO will acquire 41 retail stores – including 11 Pet City stores in Washington state – and 25 Our Vet clinics.
