A new CEO of WCC has been appointed

Barry Kehoe is the new chief executive of Westmeath County Council.

Elected members approved Kehoe’s nomination at their meeting this afternoon. Following Pat Gallagher’s retirement in February, he served as interim CEO.

The council recently issued a statement:

Following today’s meeting, Westmeath County Council is pleased to announce that elected members have approved the appointment of Mr Barry Kehoe as Chief Executive of Westmeath County Council. Mr Kehoe, a long-serving director of services at the council, was selected for the position following a recruitment process conducted by the Public Appointments Service.

Kehoe became interim chief executive following the retirement of Pat Gallagher in February this year.
