GNWT is seeking opinions on meat processing regulations

GNWT is seeking public opinion on new safety regulations in meat processing.

The goal of the new regulations is to increase the availability of NWT farm-raised meat products. They set out new rules and requirements for the production, distribution and sale of meat products to ensure they are handled and prepared as safely as possible.

The regulations in question were first established after a similar information session held between December 2021 and February 2022.

Comments for the current feedback session will be accepted until June 27^vol.
